Interpublic still in Samsung running

By Published on .

[New York] Samsung denied that it intends to eliminate one of the three holding company competitors for its estimated $700 million global account before a final round of meetings. Agency executives had said Interpublic Group of Cos., whose Foote Cone & Belding and Initiative Media units are the incumbents, was unlikely to make the cut. Interpublic, WPP Group and Publicis Groupe are likely to meet Samsung for final meetings that will entail clarification and development of their original presentations rather than whole new pitches. Samsung said the company expects to make a decision in August.
