Johnnie Walker Thai ads go for hip

[Bangkok, Thailand] Diageo is making Johnnie Walker Red Label's global marketing platform "Keep Walking" a little more hip on a local level with a campaign in Thailand, the brand's fifth-largest market worldwide, to appeal to younger, more affluent consumers. Vivid computer-generated animation illustrates a young musician's rise from obscurity to success through his passion and perseverance. The climax is a fiery onstage guitar performance and the tagline, "Follow your passionate heart. Keep Walking. Johnnie Walker." The ad marks the first time London-based Diageo has created a Johnnie Walker spot specifically for the Thai market. The agency is Bartle Bogle Hegarty, 49% owned by Publicis Groupe. Publicis' Starcom handled media.
