LVMH taps ZenithOptimedia

[Hong Kong] French luxury goods marketer LVMH Mo‰t Hennessy Louis Vuitton named Publicis Groupe's ZenithOptimedia Group to its estimated $45 million media planning and buying account in Asia, starting in January 2004. LVMH brands include Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, TAG Heuer, Fendi and Donna Karan. Publicis-owned Starcom, Interpublic Group of Cos.' Universal McCann, Aegis Group's Carat and WPP Group's Maximize also pitched; incumbent Mediaedge:cia, owned by WPP, didn't participate.
