Pepsi rolls veggie drink in Canada

By Published on .

[Toronto] Pepsi-Cola Canada is testing Canadians' interest in healthy eating with the launch of two vegetable cocktail beverages: Dole Veggies and Dole Spicy Veggies. The two drinks, sold in 335 milliliter single-serving plastic bottles, will compete against Campbell Soup Co.'s V8 juice and other vegetable drinks. The company said the drinks contain 90 calories per bottle and combine nine vegetables, with no added preservatives, artificial ingredients or sugar. Pepsi is using sampling, point-of-sale, and public relations, but doesn't plan any media support.
