Rushmore grabs more Coke biz

By Published on .

[Madrid, Spain] Coca-Cola Co. has been handing sports-related assignments in Spain to 3-year-old local hot shop Sra. (Senora) Rushmore. Coke's agency of record in Spain is Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson Worldwide, whose control over international Coke business has been chipped away by other agencies in a number of markets. In Spain, Coke named Sra. Rushmore to handle an ad campaign to promote Coke's sponsorship of a European soccer tournament this summer. The shop reportedly beat Wieden & Kennedy and London agency Soul in a secret pitch for the assignment. Sra. Rushmore's previous work for Coke included a promotional campaign around the 2002 soccer World Cup and promotion for the Coca-Cola soccer playoffs last year.
