[London] Brussels-based Lexus Europe is moving its $50 million European account to Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi
, which will set up a Brussels-based subsidiary, Team One
Europe, to handle the Toyota Motor Corp. brand. Team One, Los Angeles, handles Lexus in North America. Lexus is the best-selling luxury car brand in the U.S., but has never been able to replicate that success in Europe, and doesn't use the Lexus name in Japan, although Toyota plans to introduce it there in 2005. Until now, Saatchi and Brussels-based Dentsu BLD have had to pitch for each Lexus Europe assignment.
