SC Johnson moves all biz to Interpublic

[London] SC Johnson & Son consolidated its estimated $350 million to $400 million international media business with Interpublic Group of Cos. The big change is a move from Publicis Groupe's ZenithOptimedia in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to Interpublic's Universal McCann. Universal already handles the account in parts of Asia. Sibling Initiative Media retains the U.S. media account and works with Interpublic's Foote Cone & Belding in Latin America (AA, June 21).

According to executives familiar with the situation, SC Johnson wanted to achieve more efficiencies with its media spending. Japan, where media is handled by Dentsu, wasn't included in the review, which began in January.
