Springer & Jacoby, BenQ part ways

By Published on .

[Hamburg] Taiwanese consumer electronics marketer BenQ has split with its European agency Springer & Jacoby, Hamburg, a year after naming the Interpublic-owned shop as lead agency for its $22 million European account. Springer & Jacoby said the agency ended the relationship due to differences over the strategic branding of BenQ. Executives said the company is eager to find a new agency soon, but it's unclear whether a search will be led by BenQ executives in Europe or from company headquarters. A BenQ executive in Germany said he is not currently looking for a new agency.
