TNT parcels out business to Wieden

By Published on .

[Amsterdam] Parcel-delivery firm TNT Express has awarded independent Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam an international creative assignment, and is in the process of choosing a media agency. The appointment was made following a final pitch against four other undisclosed agencies.

A media agency is likely to be appointed by October, and the first work will not appear until next year.

WPP Group's J. Walter Thompson was the last agency of record, but recently, assignments have been handled on a project basis by regional shops. TNT said the budget and the exact nature of the campaign had yet to be decided. TNT Express is a unit of TPG and competes with brands such as FedEx.
