Work: Renault

Published on .

Illustrating the concept of Renault's Espace minivan-that space is the ultimate luxury- Publicis Conseil, Paris, invented Hector, a plucky newspaper comic-strip character who escapes the boring confines of his paper box to explore the immensity of the outside world. The tiny paper man with the big glasses revels in his new freedom. Before production, Publicis had to keep redrawing the Hector character because he initially looked just like Renault's president.
