WPP taps French, Dart as consultants

[Hong Kong] WPP Group has tapped Neil French and Peter Dart to act as consultants to WPP companies around the world. Singapore-based Mr. French, 56, and Mr. Dart, who lives in London, will work with WPP businesses including Young & Rubicam, J. Walter Thompson Co. and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, as well as with their clients such as Unilever. Mr. French, who was Ogilvy's worldwide creative director until last year and has recently been working on raising creative standards at Dentsu, Young & Rubicam, an Asian joint-venture between Y&R and Dentsu, takes on a global creative role. Mr. Dart, who founded WPP brand consultancy Added Value, will focus on strategic marketing issues.
