MPG retains L'Oreal's $5M biz in Argentina

By Published on .

[Buenos Aires, Argentina] L'Oreal is keeping its estimated $5 million media buying and planning account at incumbent Havas' MPG Argentina after a pitch against WPP Group's Mediaedge:cia Argentina and Interpublic's Universal McCann Argentina. It's unclear how a local review fits into L'Oreal's plans for a $2 billion global review of its media business, split mostly between Universal and Publicis Groupe's ZenithOptimedia. L'Oreal's sales surged 23% last year in Argentina as the country's recovery from a four-year recession rekindles consumer spending.
