[Cannes, France] A few festival goers who frequented the notorious Gutter Bar left the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival with more than just a hangover this year. Procter & Gamble's Cincinnati-based James Haskett, general manager-feminine care, was clouted with a glass bottle by a driver who was irritated at the Gutter Bar mob spilling out on the seaside Croisette boulevard and blocking traffic along the city's main drag. Procter people tend to stand around innocuously on the fringes of the rowdy Gutter Bar crowd, so Mr. Haskett was apparently the first person the irate driver spotted when he jumped out of his car. He was treated at a local hospital and released. "He is fine fortunately and back to work," a spokeswoman said. "It was just a random thing." In another random accident, a woman at the packed Gutter Bar plunged her stiletto heel through the foot of Alasdhair Macgregor, the executive creative director of Publicis Italy and a Press & Poster judge, who may re-think wearing flip flops next time.
