P&G fragrance unit opens pitch for media biz

[Schwalbach, Germany] Procter & Gamble Prestige Beaute, a P&G designer fragrance division, is holding a pitch for its estimated $45 million European media planning account, currently split between WPP Group's MediaCom for most of continental Europe and Publicis Groupe's ZenithOptimedia in the U.K. Both incumbents are pitching, along with Publicis' Starcom. The fragrance brands include Boss, Lacoste, Giorgio, Laura Biagiotti, Jean Patou, Helmut Lang, Yamamoto and Valentino. Half the budget is spent in Germany.
