Alain Groenendaal, 43, to general manager of La Comunidad, Miami, one of the hottest U.S. Hispanic agencies, from senior VP-regional strategy & business development director-Latin America & Caribbean for Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett. Mr. Groenendaal fills the role left vacant since Gary Bassell resigned as president almost a year ago to become CEO of WPP Group's U.S. Hispanic agency Bravo Group, New York.

Ben Fennell to managing director, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, London, from regional CEO-Asia/Pacific, Singapore. He succeeds Derek Robson, who moved to San Francisco to join Omnicom Group's Goodby, Silverstein & Partners as a full agency partner to co-manage the agency (Ad Age, Oct. 10). Mr. Fennell's regional Asia role will not be filled, as BBH recently hired top managers for its offices in Tokyo, Singapore and Shanghai.

Kevin W. Allen, 50, and Michael McLaren, 41, to new posts of worldwide director of global accounts, McCann Worldgroup, New York. Mr. Allen was chief growth officer of McCann parent Interpublic Group of Cos., and Mr. McLaren was director of global accounts, working on Intel.
