Stella Artois rolls out ice-skating priests in U.K.

By Published on .

[London] Ice-skating priests star in the latest spot in Interbrew U.K.'s long-running "reassuringly expensive" campaign for Stella Artois, part of a record $80 million spending for Stella this year. In the two-minute spot by Interpublic's Lowe Worldwide London, a group of rural priests enjoy a surprise snowfall on a frozen lake by their abbey. A young priest is dispatched to buy a crate of Stella to help the party swing. But when he returns, he crashes through the ice. When he finally resurfaces through a hole, the priests are devastated: the beer is lost and the empty crate bobs on the water's surface. The soaking wet young priest knows what he must do and dives back in to rescue the missing bottles of Stella Artois. AdAge.com QwikFIND aaq58o.
