New Zealand taps JWT for $20M global biz

[Auckland, New Zealand] Tourism New Zealand appointed WPP Group's JWT, Auckland and Assignment, a local strategic consultancy, to handle its estimated $20 million global advertising account. JWT and Assignment competed against three Omnicom Group agencies, Whybin/ TBWA, Colenso BBDO and DDB Worldwide, as well as Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi. The incumbent, M&C Saatchi, resigned after winning Tourism Australia's $45 million creative account.
