In last week's chart tallying the top TV shows on entertainment check-in service GetGlue, "Nikita" held the No. 1 spot for a second week in a row. This week, it extends that streak and gets some new company in our Top 10. A few notes:
- CBS's "The Big Bang Theory," which pretty much owned the No. 1 spot throughout the fall, slips a little further in this week's chart, dropping from No. 2 to No. 3. It got displaced by the airing of a special Christmas episode of social-media favorite "Doctor Who" on BBC America.
- Season finales for three shows -- FX's "American Horror Story" and Fox's "Terra Nova" and "The X Factor" -- land in our Top 10, while Showtime's "Dexter," which actually already aired its season finale the week before last, makes another appearance this week thanks to fans catching up via scheduled repeats and Showtime On Demand.
- MTV 's "Beavis and Butt-Head," which had a five-year run that ended in 1997 but came back from the dead on Oct. 27 for a highly anticipated revival, lands in our Top 10 for the first time. MTV has been giving the show a big social-media push, including GetGlue sticker giveaways. Of course, it helps that the show performed great right out of the gate, with 3.3 million total viewers for its comeback episode. And late last month MTV declared that "Beavis and Butt-Head" is its No. 2 show among males 12-34, second only to "Jersey Shore." (Shut up, Snooki.)
