In last week's chart tallying the top TV shows on entertainment check-in service GetGlue, NBC's heavily hyped new drama "Awake" debuted on our chart in the No. 8 spot. This week it drops out of view.

Scroll down below the infographic for some notes and context.

  • GetGlue just announced that CBS's "The Big Bang Theory" has racked up a cumulative 2 million check-ins, setting a new record as the most checked-in show ever. And its momentum doesn't seem to be slowing. This week it takes the No. 1 spot with 74,979 check-ins vs. 72,921 last week (when it also took the top spot).
  • AMC's "The Walking Dead" isn't losing any steam either. It takes our No. 2 spot this week while its Nielsen numbers continue to trend upward. Robert Seidman at TV By The Numbers has the details about the zombie drama's latest ratings triumph.

  • Fox's "American Idol" (No. 5 this week) bests its current karaoke competition, NBC's "The Voice" (No. 6). But that 's not all that impressive when you consider that it faced soft direct competition for its two-hour Wednesday edition thanks to reruns on ABC and CBS. The Hollywood Reporter's Michael O' Connell has the scoop on how "Fox nabbed an easy win against many encores."
