And one of the companies, Mars North America, hooked a website to its manufacturing matrix, enabling consumers to have their name and photo printed on M&Ms. In less than three years, that process has re-invented the iconic tiny candies. Customized M&Ms have not only increased profit margins and sales but brought in new sorts of co-promotional partners.
