Heavy.com's Web-Video Hit Parade Gives Viewers Party Talk

By Published on .

What to talk about... What to talk about... Heavy.com's "Heavy Hit List" is an attempt to answer that question. The countdown can educate you on wildly varying topics including Japanese artist Takahashi Murakami, who has created sets for Kanye West. Other subjects: a Belgian designer who's created a vision for a Lily Pad City that could hold 50,000 people just in case, you know, global warming turns all our land into water. The series is designed to give guys something witty to share over their next Heineken Premium Light. That works well because the segment is sponsored by the beer company and because Heavy is a guy-centric online video destination. The first six installments in the series have been streamed more than 2 million times in the first three weeks they have been available. "The Heavy Hit List" keeps viewers up to date on bands, technology, viral videos, indie films and current events. The episode that premiered in late July garnered 1.2 million views.
