AOL Touts New Alternative to Pre-roll Ads

AOL is helping the Web video world evolve away from pre-roll advertising, introducing video ticker ads, TVWeek notes. The ticker ad is a graphic banner integrated within streaming video that doesn’t obstruct the view. Clicked upon, the ticker expands to launch a video or Flash ad within the video player. AOL teamed with PointRoll to launch the project.
