BBC Coming to iPhone and iPod Touch

By Sergio Published on .

The BBC is planning to make its popular iPlayer video application available for viewing on Apple iPhone and iPod touch products, the Register says. This plan is separate from the broadcasting company’s deal to provide original content on Apple’s iTunes Store. Since the iPlayer’s launch, 10% of the BBC’s programming has been viewed online; 2.2 million viewers have streamed about 17 million shows.
