Brightcove’s Allaire: Platform Play Was Best Bet

Brightcove founder and CEO Jeremy Allaire sat down with Rafat Ali at PaidContent and explained how his Web-video services company has evolved since its formation in 2004. Allaire said the company spread its bets between supplying media companies with video platform technology, catering to smaller publishers, and creating a destination video site. Of those, the media-company services business is the one Allaire thinks Brightcove can dominate, so that’s where the company is focusing, he said.
