  • Brightcove's customers are operating 7,000 Web sites

  • Brightcove isn't taking ad revenue shares in lieu of platform fees, contrary to rumors

  • Clients are more interested in advertising revenue models than downloads

  • 99% of his customers are doing pre-roll and mid-roll ads, though interest in overlays is rising

  • Maven and The Platform are competing with Brightcove most often for clients

  • Brightcove's R&D budget grew 300 percent this year

  • Last round valuation of Brightcove is rumored to be around $200 million; Allaire says Brightcove has grown into its valuation and its multiple is comparable to others
