Catching Up Boosts CBS.com Usage, Ad Prices

By Sergio Published on .

CBS.com says it gets two peak usage times during the day, once around 7 p.m. EST and again at 10 p.m. EST, Silicon Alley Insider reports. The site attributes this to viewers catching up on missed episodes before the night’s prime-time offerings. According to CBS Interactive’s Quincy Smith, CBS.com charges advertisers up to $20 per thousand views on their site, Valleywag reports. That rate is higher than what the site charges for prime-time spots.
