Cheaper HBO Shows a Hit on iTunes

HBO programs are proving popular in their first week on Apple's iTunes, but it’s the under-$2 shows that are doing well, NewTeeVee says. HBO shows had eight of the top 15 slots in the Top TV Seasons sales, but only one, “Rome,” was priced higher than iTune’s standard $1.99 per episode. HBO marks the first programmer able to get iTunes to agree to charge extra for some programs.
