China's 56.com Returns From Inactivity

Major Chinese video-sharing site 56.com is back online after a five-week suspension which the site said was for “system maintenance,” but many suspected that outage was due to pressure from the Chinese government, Silicon Alley Insider reports. There was no word from the site, which has received tens of millions of dollars in Western investments, about any changes during the down time. It’s also unclear whether the site has received a necessary government license.
