CollegeHumor Branches Out; Joost Sees Downtime

By Sergio Published on .

CollegeHumor has struck a deal to broadcast its content over the Joost Internet TV service. Viewers will have access to CollegeHumor original series, including “Street Fighter: The Later Years” and “Prank War.” The shows will be broadcast over the “CHTV: CollegeHumor Original Videos” channel. Jake and Amir, who have a popular CollegeHumor series, have also signed a deal with MTV to create a new TV show. Silicon Alley Insider confirms. As for Joost, Pingdom is reporting that the service’s Web site, Joost.com, has experienced over five hours of downtime to date this month. Joost.com operates separately from the actual broadcasting service, which partially relies on P2P networks. A spokesperson for Joost tells NewTeeVee that the site’s technical difficulties are a result of its relocation from Europe to the U.S.
