Comics, Investors Take to Web Video

MyBlueCollar.com launched this week, the latest example of established Hollywood talent, and investors, betting on the Web for distribution. The new comedy site, which features humor videos starring established comics including Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy (Dan Whitney), the Los Angeles Times says. The talent is funding the site, as well as J.P. Williams, the talent manager who helped establish the Blue Collar Comedy brand. Another backer is Will Ferrell’s FunnyOrDie.com, a comedy site backed by Sequoia Capital.
