Disney’s Iger Chides Cable, Touts Web Video

Walt Disney Co. CEO Robert Iger took cable operators to task for the unwieldy navigation on video-on-demand services, and said a better search function is what VOD needs, according to AdWeek. He also that while it’s too early to gauge the revenue and profit potential for Web distribution of traditional content, he’s betting on the Internet as an entertainment delivery platform.
