FCC Seeks Punishment for Comcast

By Sergio Published on .

FCC Chairman Kevin Martin plans to recommend that Comcast be punished for impeding P2P traffic, which violated customers’ rights to open Internet access, PaidContent reports, citing an AP story. The order will begin circulating among commissioners this week, with a vote schedule for Aug. 1. The proposed order would force Comcast to stop the practice, detail what kind of blocking it did and disclose future network management plans.
