Most people looking for video snacks online browse sites, rather than using search engines, according to NewTeeVee, which cites a study commissioned by ChoiceStream. That catch-as-catch-can approach is breeding some frustration. The breakdown in search methods: 56 percent browse sites; 33 percent use search engines; 32 percent follow recommendations from friends and family; and 20 percent use recommendations from Web sites. ChoiceStream is a Web personalization service that services sites like AOL and Yahoo by delivering relevant content to consumers.
