Free TV Web Streams Worry Cable Operators

Some cable operators are not very pleased with cable networks making their content available online, the New York Times says. Time Warner Cable says making content available for free online makes it less valuable for broadcast and cable companies shouldn’t have to pay as much to carry this programming. Comcast, although it shares similar concerns, says it has benefited from video-on-demand and its own Fancast video site.
