Funding Roundup: FeedRoom, Graspr, Mevio

FeedRoom, which helps corporations with their Web video needs, raised $12 million in venture funding, Silicon Alley Insider says. NewSpring Capital led the funding round, which also included BEV Capital and Velocity Equity Partners. FeedRoom plans to use the money to improve its video platform. Online video how-to site Graspr raised $2.5 million in Series A funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson and angel investors, TVWeek says. The instructional network also launched a syndication platform and added editing tools to help producers. Mevio, which syndicates original Web video, raised another $15 million in Series C funding, led by Crosslink Capital, Silicon Alley Insider says. The company, which began life as Podshow before changing its name and focus, also is getting funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sequoia Capital, Sherpalo Ventures and DAG Ventures. The investment, which brings the company’s total to $38 million, will be used for creating and acquiring content.
