Google to Partner With ‘Pop Idol’ Creator?

British newspaper the Observer reports that Google executives have been discussing collaborating with Simon Fuller, the British entrepreneur behind the Spice Girls and "Pop Idol," on an Internet TV venture. The paper quotes a person close to Fuller as saying, “It’s a big idea on a global scale” that will change TV distribution the way iTunes changed music. You can’t not love this story, even if Google has billed its mission as organizing the world’s information, not entertaining its masses.
