Google to Keep User Info Anonymous to Viacom

In their ongoing copyright infringement lawsuit, Google and Viacom reached a deal for YouTube to hand over the user data that Viacom had been demanding, with the user names and IP addresses kept anonymous, Silicon Alley Insider says. The court, meanwhile, gave the two sides 14 days to come to an agreement on Viacom’s demand for the viewing data of YouTube employees.
