HBO Invests in FunnyorDie.com, Commissions Programming

HBO bought a small stake, believed to be less than 10%, in Will Ferrell’s Web video site FunnyorDie.com, Daily Variety says. As part of the deal, the pay cable network commissioned 10 half-hours of programming from the comedy site. The two also are expected to team up on future projects, including a possible Funny or Die programming block on an HBO channel.
