Investment Round-up; Generate, ManiaTV

Generate, a new-media studio and talent agency, has raised $6 million in its first round of fundraising, TVWeek.com says. Among the investors are Velocity Interactive Group and MK Capital. The company will use the money to create new comedy series, such as “LaQuisha” and “Knockers,” and expand its staff, including the sales staff, business affairs and legal execs. ManiaTV, an online comedy TV network, has raised $9.5 million in its third round of funding, PEHub reports. This round adds DAG Ventures to the studio’s roster of investors, including Benchmark Capital, Centennial Ventures and Intel Capital, all who also contributed to this round. ManiaTV has raised about $23 million to date.
