IOC Limits Beijing Digital Coverage

The International Olympic Committee has issued strict rules for digital coverage of this summer’s games in Beijing, limiting the coverage that non-rights holders can stream, Beet.tv says, citing SportsBusiness Daily. NBC paid a record $894 million to broadcast the Games. The IOC is prohibiting non-rights holders from including any video coverage of competition, press meetings and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
