Jackass, the popular stunt TV and film franchise, is launching JackassWorld.com, CNET
reports. The Web site will feature antics from Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Bam Magera and the whole Jackass group. The franchiseâ€™s most recent film, Jackass 2.5, was released online before DVDs went on sale and has racked up over 2.6 million streams. The group will celebrate the siteâ€™s launch by controlling MTVâ€™s programming for 24 hours this weekend. Knoxville recently tore his urethra while filming an Evel Knievel tribute special. Comedy.com also launched this week after securing funds from Prism VentureWorks and Walden Venture Capital, PaidContent
reports. This site is owned by Dean Valentine, former president and CEO of UPN and president of Walt Disney Television. The site will feature original content and series, such as the satirical â€śThe HollyWoody Showâ€ť and â€śNewest New News,â€ť as well as clips from stand-up comedians.
