LiveUniverse has officially announced its acquisition of Revver through a press release
. The deal’s announcement was not surprising, since news of the buyout began to surface last month
. In the release, LiveUniverse CEO Brad Greenspan said Revver’s traffic would have been higher if not for the misbehavior of MySpace (another company he helped found) which he claims censored other companies’ video players. Greenspan has sued MySpace over those claims, and earlier sued them over the valuation attached to the business during the News Corp. acquisition. So there’s a little bad blood there. LiveUniverse purchased 100% of Revver’s stock.
