Next New Networks will start distributing its specialized video content on subjects including political satire, cars, pets and comic books, through AOL Video, MediaWeek
says. It’s the first major portal deal for the year-old company, which has plans for some 100 niche Web video channels, 12 of which will be available on AOL Video. Next New has also raised $15 million from investors including Bob Pittman, Goldman & Velocity Interactive Group, Saban Media Group and Spark Capital, TVWeek.com
says. The network’s original content reached 33 million video views in February.
