P2P Platform Vuze Raises $20 Million

Vuze, a peer-to-peer platform formerly known as Azureus, raised $20 million with New Enterprise Associates, whose group joined existing investors Redpoint Ventures, Greycroft Partners, BV Capital and Jarl Mohn, NewTeeVee reports. Vuze is following the path trod by BitTorrent, taking P2P software that some used to illegally transfer copyright material and trying to build a legitimate business on the technology.
