P2P TV Experiment Gets Broadband Slowdown

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. recently used BitTorrent to release an episode of “Canada’s Next Great Prime Minister,” and paid a price: Many users couldn’t download the show because Internet service providers are blocking the P2P service, says NewTeeVee. Bell Canada has joined the Canadian ISPs that are now slowing peer-to-peer traffic, including BitTorrent’s.
