Pittman Touts TV Over Web Video

By Sergio Published on .

Pilot Group LLC founding member Bob Pittman says broadband video is “still a very small percentage of use for most people,” citing TV’s familiarity and accessibility as its strengths over Web-streamed viewing. In an interview with Will Richmond on VideoNuze, he notes that while short video clips are popular forms of entertainment, the act of going online in front of a computer is not optimal for viewing longer content. Mr. Pittman was previously president and COO of AOL and a co-founder for MTV and CEO of MTV Networks. He will present at NATPE’s conference in Las Vegas on Jan. 29.
