Revision3’s ‘Pop Siren’ and the Women of Web Video

By Sergio Published on .

Revision3 launched a new Web series, “Pop Siren,” featuring the latest in technology and culture, TVWeek.com reports. The show, hosted by Revision3’s Sarah Lane, former TechTV host Jessica Corbin and creator-star of “Food Science,” Kirsten Sanford, is Revision3’s latest attempt at expanding its female audience while appealing to its “geek guys.” Revision3’s other shows, including “Diggnation” and “Tekzilla,” boast a 93% male audience. “Pop Siren’s” launch reflects a Web video practice that has carried over from TV—placing pretty women as the face of a program. But the women of “Pop Siren” know what they’re talking about. Check them out in a behind-the-scenes tour for Daisy Whitney’s “New Media Minute” and read more on the women of Web video here.
