TiVo Makes Jump to Web Video

By Greg Published on .

TiVo, the leading digital-video-recorder maker for old-fashion TVs is giving its subscribers access to Web video, according to the New York Times. The new feature, announced at the Consumer Electronics Show, lets users record video that has been selected with RSS, or “Real Simple Syndication” feeds. That means you’ll be able to TiVo Daisy Whitney’s “New Media Minute” or the latest from the David Wain channel on MyDamnChannel. The new service will be free to current TiVo subscribers and will cost $24.95 for new subs.
