The Tribeca Film Institute and Amazon.com are launching ReframeCollection.org
, a digital marketplace for lesser-seen films and videos, the New York Times
says. Starting with about 500 works, including the early films of Sally Potter, the inventory is expected to expand to 10,000 over the next year or so. Reframe will offer conversion of film to digital at cost, the paper said, with some titles available via Web streaming and others on DVD.
