Truveo: 100 Mil Searchable Vidoes and Growing

Video-search company Truveo, owned by AOL, says its index of clips on the Web now exceeds 100 million items and that by 2009, there will be 1 billion videos on the Internet. That explosion of content (and the proliferation of Web sites delivering it) underscores the key role video search will play in developing the Web-video business model. VideoNuze recently interviewed Truveo CEO Tim Tuttle, who said his service now gets 50 million unique visitors a month through its own site and its embedded engine on AOL, MSN Video, CNET and others.
